How We Give Back

Our Sustain

Cheekbone Beauty is founded on the premise of giving back; it is our purpose, our why. As our business grows, so, too, does our mission. We have evolved to develop our own sustainable products, one piece of our ever-growing puzzle to make meaningful change.

For every SUSTAIN lipstick purchase, Cheekbone Beauty donates one SUSTAIN lipstick to Indigenous youth. These lipsticks signify potential to our community, a reminder that every Indigenous youth holds tremendous value and their goals are worthy of reach. To make these donations happen, we work with Indigenous youth organizations around the world. This is our One for One Promise.

To date, we have donated over $150,000 in product, monetary contributions, and project-focussed initiatives to organizations that support Indigenous youth and women across North America.

We are looking forward to sharing these incredible organizations with you as we use our social media channels to bring you along on this journey.

Seasonal Give Box

Seasonally, Cheekbone Beauty partners with other Indigenous brands to create the ‘Give Box.’ With every purchase, a portion of the Give Box proceeds are donated to a charitable cause that is chosen prior to launch. In Spring 2020, the Give Box worked to give a Navajo family clean drinking water and solar energy through the Dig Deep Navajo Water Project. Summer 2020’s Give Box worked to plant trees with One Tree Planted, where one tree is planted for every dollar donated.

Since our last Give Box with One Tree Planted was such a success, we chose to work with them again for our Spring 2021 Give Box have planted over 2,100 trees.

Stay tuned for our next Give Box!

Organizations That Support Indigenous Youth

During the development of Cheekbone Beauty, Jenn researched the current makeup landscape as well as charities that are helping close the educational funding gap that exists between Indigenous and non‑Indigenous students. After in depth research, the Cheekbone team found the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society (FNCFCS) and the connection between their mission and Jenn’s family experience was serendipitous.

While we continue to support the FNCFCS today, Cheekbone Beauty has made contributions of over $150,000 cash and in-kind donations to various organizations whose mission aligns with ours: to help every Indigenous youth see and feel their enormous value in the world.

Organizations include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (NCN) Women’s Shelter
  • Youth Leadership Society of BC
  • Toronto Indigenous Harm Reduction
  • Horizons for Youth
  • Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business
  • Onaman Collective
