When I was given the opportunity to be part of this collaboration with Cheekbone Beauty, I knew I wanted the charity I chose to feel personal and meaningful.
Makeup has always been a big part of my life, not just as a makeup artist, but as a way to help women feel seen, cared for, and a little more like themselves. And for this collaboration, I wanted to support an organization that truly understands the importance of care during some of life’s hardest moments.
That is why I chose Ronald McDonald House Charities. Ronald McDonald House Charities supports families with seriously ill children by helping them stay close to the hospitals and care their children need. They provide families with a place to stay, access to meals, laundry, and support services, so they can focus on what matters most, being together and supporting their child through treatment and healing.
As a mom, I cannot imagine the emotional weight of having a child who is seriously sick, while also having to worry about where to sleep, how to eat, or how to manage the everyday needs of your family. Ronald McDonald House helps remove some of that burden by creating a home away from home during an incredibly difficult time.
This charity is also meaningful to me because I have personally donated my time there in the past. I had the opportunity to offer pop-up self-care makeup applications for some of the moms staying at Ronald McDonald House, and it is an experience I will never forget. These were mothers who were giving everything they had to their children. Their focus was completely on their families, and understandably, they had put themselves last. But sitting with them for even a few minutes, offering them a small moment of self-care, reminded me how powerful it can be to feel seen.
It was never just about makeup. It was about giving these moms a moment to breathe. A moment to feel cared for. A moment to reconnect with themselves, even briefly, during a time when so much of their life was focused on fear, stress, and uncertainty.
As moms, we often forget about ourselves in everyday life. But when your child is sick, that self-sacrifice becomes even greater. That is why I believe the work Ronald McDonald House Charities does is so important. They support not only the child receiving care, but the entire family around them.
Being able to combine my love of makeup with a cause that supports families in such a meaningful way feels incredibly special. Beauty, to me, has never been only about how we look. It is about how we feel. It is about care, connection, and sometimes simply reminding someone that they matter too.
A portion of the proceeds from this collaboration will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities, and I am so proud to support an organization that helps keep families together when they need it most.
This collaboration feels bigger than makeup. It feels like a small way to give back to
families who are going through some of the hardest moments of their lives and that is something I am truly honoured to be part of.
